A .fi domain registrar plays an important role in ensuring the security and reliability of Finnish online addresses. Security and reliability requirements are defined in Traficom regulation M68.
Before a registrar application can be approved, the applicant must complete a security self-assessment using Traficom’s Cybermeter (adapted for domain names).
Steps to complete:
- Download the Cybermeter self-assessment tool.
- Complete the assessment in full.
- Return the completed form:
- Wait for Traficom’s review. Additional clarifications may be requested if necessary.
- Proceed with registrar application only after the Cybermeter has been completed, returned, and processed.
